Kling is a video model from China’s Kuaishou, and unlike many competitors it has a genuine free plan. The terms are strict, though, and search results describe them in different ways: “66 credits a day,” “166 on sign-up,” “unlimited with no account.” We checked everything against Kling’s own credit policy and worked out what you can really do for free, what’s locked, and where to use Kling without those limits.
Kling AI free: what the official plan gives you
Free access to Kling means daily credits for logging in to kling.ai or the app. As of October 2, 2026, Kling’s credit policy describes them like this: credits are granted on your first login of the day and reset at 24:00. You can’t save them up for a longer clip.
Kling doesn’t say on its pages exactly how many credits you get per day — you’ll see the balance after signing in. The same policy gives a reference point for conversion: at the standard price, $1 = 66 credits.
Daily credits cover text-to-video or image-to-video in base quality. If a generation fails, Kling refunds the credits spent.
What’s locked on Kling’s free plan
Kling’s credit policy lists the premium features directly, and Kling’s SEO page about daily credits adds the watermark.
| Feature | Free | When it gets in the way |
|---|---|---|
| Watermark | on every clip | ads, client projects, brand social accounts |
| 1080p video | subscription only | YouTube, large screens |
| Video extension and Master shot | subscription only | a story longer than one clip |
| Image upscaling | subscription only | print, banners |
| Fast-track queue | subscription only | urgent work, many takes in a row |
| Credit rollover | no, reset at 24:00 | a long clip, a series of clips |
On one of its promo pages, Kling says free image-to-video is available in 1080p. The credit policy contradicts this and lists 1080p as a premium feature, so only count on 1080p with a subscription.
Paid credits last longer: subscription credits are valid for a month, purchased packs and promo credits for 2 years. Kling shows plan prices only after you sign in.
Which Kling versions are available
The current model is Kling 3.0, released on February 5, 2026: clips up to 15 seconds with sound, several shots in one generation, and characters from photos and video. On September 28, 2026, Kling announced version 4.0 with generation up to 30 seconds. So far only the lighter Kling 4.0 Flash is in early access.
Motion Control transfers a person’s movement from a video onto a character from an image. It’s one of Kling’s most popular modes, but free credits won’t cover a long dance routine: the clip will hit the daily limit.
“Free Kling, no sign-up” sites
Much of the search results for “kling ai free” is taken up by sites with Kling in the domain — klingapi.com, kling-3.org, www-kling.com and similar — plus aggregators promising “unlimited, no sign-up.” There’s only one official Kling site, kling.ai, plus apps for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows.
What you risk on a third-party site:
- undisclosed terms — the site decides how many free clips you get and changes the rules without notice;
- no way to verify the model — behind a “Kling 3.0” button there may be the older Kling 2.1 or a different model altogether;
- “no sign-up, unlimited” — video generation costs money, so a site like that earns on something else: ads, your data or an expensive paid plan.
How to use Kling without a watermark
Kling doesn’t publish a list of countries where the service works, and its subscription doesn’t accept every bank card. Free login credits don’t solve the main problem either: clips still carry the watermark and stay below 1080p.
In AI2Face, Kling is available in the generator:
- no separate Kling account — sign in with email or Google;
- no Kling watermark — clips are ready to publish;
- pay by card or crypto — the cost of each generation is shown before you start;
- credits don’t reset at midnight — besides a subscription you can buy a credit pack, and the balance carries over to the next month;
- welcome credits after sign-up — enough for your first clips to test Kling on your own tasks.
The same generator has Seedance, Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni, so it’s easy to compare models on one prompt.
How not to waste Kling credits
Video is the most expensive kind of generation, and a failed clip burns credits just like a good one. These tips work on Kling’s free plan and in AI2Face alike.
1. Start from a finished frame. Image-to-video is more predictable than text-to-video: composition, lighting and the subject are already set, and the model only has to add motion. Picking an image, for example in Nano Banana Pro, is cheaper than rerolling clips. How to write a prompt for animating a photo is covered in the guide animate a photo.
2. Set the first and last frame. Kling can build a transition between two frames. If you upload the start and end of a scene, the model doesn’t have to guess where the clip should go, and you’ll need fewer takes.
3. Test the idea in 5 seconds. A short clip shows whether the model understood the motion and the camera. Run a longer clip of up to 15 seconds once the prompt works.
4. Describe camera movement separately. First describe what happens in the frame, then the camera: “slow push-in,” “orbit from left to right,” “camera follows the subject.” Kling misreads a mixed description more often.
Kling vs other video models
How Kling compares with other models shows on the Arena leaderboard, where users blind-compare clips generated from the same prompt.
| Model | Arena rank (Sep 21, 2026) | Sound | Free |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini Omni | 1–2 of 48 | yes | in Google apps, in supported countries |
| Seedance 2.0 | 5 of 48 | yes | daily Dreamina credits |
| Kling Pro | 29 of 48 | yes | daily credits with a watermark |
| Kandinsky | 37 and 44 of 48 | no | yes, in Sber’s GigaChat, with a limit |
Kling sits mid-table: well above Kandinsky, but below Gemini Omni and Seedance. Which video model to pick for which task is covered in the article AI video generator, and the details on Seedance are on the Seedance page.
Bottom line
Kling AI free gives you real daily credits, but they’re for trying the model, not for work. Credits reset at midnight, clips carry a watermark, and Kling’s policy puts 1080p, extensions and the fast queue behind a paywall. “Free Kling, no sign-up” sites don’t belong to Kuaishou. If you need clips without the watermark, start with AI2Face’s welcome credits: Kling is there, alongside Seedance, Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni — higher-ranked models that are easy to compare on one prompt.
FAQ
Can I use Kling AI for free?
Yes, with limits. Kling grants credits on your first login each day, but free-plan clips carry a watermark, and 1080p, video extension, upscaling and the fast-track queue require a subscription.
How many free credits does Kling give?
Kling doesn't publish a number: its credit policy only says login credits are granted on the first login of the day and reset at 24:00. Figures like “66 a day” from third-party guides aren't officially confirmed; you'll see your balance after signing in.
Do free Kling videos have a watermark?
Yes. Kling states plainly that the free plan adds a watermark and subscribers don't get one. The credit policy lists watermark removal as a premium feature.
Is Kling available in every country?
Kling doesn't publish a country list, and not every bank card is accepted for its subscription. In AI2Face, Kling is available in the generator without the watermark, and the cost is shown before each generation.
Does Kling understand prompts in other languages?
kling.ai is localized into several languages, but Kling doesn't document prompt-language support separately. For precise camera moves and complex scenes, an English prompt is the safer choice.
