A logo is the first task small businesses bring to AI: a designer is expensive, and you need lots of ideas. AI produces dozens of options in a minute, but the result has limitations that “top 10 generators” lists don’t mention. We made two logos with Russian names, show the prompts and explain what to do with the image next.
AI logo generator prompts: the formula
A good logo prompt answers six questions:
name + industry + icon + style + colors + background and presentation
- The name in quotes, with the phrase “spelled exactly, no other text.” Without it, the model may add a slogan or distort the letters.
- Industry — a coffee shop, a bike repair shop, a law firm: the model will pick fitting imagery.
- A specific icon: “a coffee bean made of two curved lines,” not “something about coffee.”
- Style: flat vector, minimalism, emblem, monogram.
- 1–2 colors — a logo should also work in a single color.
- A solid background, generous margins, logo centered.
Example 1: a minimalist coffee shop logo
We named the coffee shop “Зерно” (Russian for “bean”) to test Cyrillic text:
A minimalist modern logo for the coffee shop "Зерно": a simple geometric coffee
bean icon made of two curved lines, next to it the word "Зерно" in a rounded
sans-serif, dark brown on a solid milky background, flat vector style,
centered, generous margins, the Russian word spelled exactly "Зерно", no other
text
GPT Image 2.5 wrote the word without errors, and the icon reads well even at a small size. A logo like this is already ready to show for approval.
Example 2: a sheet of four variations
A handy trick is to ask for a variations sheet right away: one generation shows several directions. This time the bike repair shop is called “Спица” (Russian for “spoke”):
A logo variations sheet for the bike repair shop "Спица": four variations on a
light grey background in a 2×2 grid — a bicycle wheel icon with a wrench
inside, a monogram "С" made of a bicycle chain, a badge emblem with the word
"Спица", a horizontal "Спица" logo with a small wheel. Flat vector style, two
colors: deep teal and orange. The Russian word is spelled exactly "Спица"
everywhere, no other text
All four variations share one palette, and the word “Спица” is spelled correctly in both places. Next, you pick a direction and refine it with follow-up prompts.
Which AI to choose for a logo
| Task | Model | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A logo with a name, especially in a non-Latin script | GPT Image | accurate typography, including Cyrillic |
| A logo on a transparent background | GPT Image | transparent PNG background |
| Exact brand colors | FLUX | hex codes in the prompt |
| Icon, mascot, sticker | Nano Banana Pro | expressive imagery and characters |
| Local edits to a finished logo | Grok Imagine | select an area and edit it |
What to do after generation
- Convert to vector. The AI outputs a raster image. For print, signage and the website, redraw the logo or trace it into SVG in a graphics editor.
- Check it at a small size — 32 pixels for a favicon and avatar. Small details should stay readable.
- Check it in one color — black and white. A logo that relies only on color works poorly in print.
Before vectorizing, it’s useful to see the mark on real items. You can make a mockup with the same generator: upload the logo as a reference and describe the objects it should appear on.
- Check for similarity to other marks. AI may produce a mark similar to someone else’s. Before registering a trademark, search it against databases of registered marks and refine it with a designer if needed.
Limitations
- Raster, not vector — it needs extra work for print.
- Similarity. Simple shapes — a wheel, a bean, a leaf — are used by many brands.
- Complex typefaces may come out with uneven letters — check every letter.
- No system: a brand identity, usage guidelines and patterns are still better built with a designer.
Where to create a logo
In AI2Face, GPT Image, FLUX, Nano Banana Pro and Grok Imagine work in one generator — it’s convenient to run one prompt on several models and pick the best result. The cost of each generation is shown before you run it, you can pay by card or crypto, and credits from packs don’t expire. You get welcome credits after signing up. Once the logo is ready, the next step — product images — is covered in our guide AI product images for ecommerce.
Bottom line
An AI logo generator makes a logo in a minute, and it finally works with non-Latin text too: GPT Image 2.5 wrote “Зерно” and “Спица” without errors on the first try. Use the prompt formula, ask for a variations sheet and choose a direction. But the result is a sketch, not a finished mark: convert it to vector, check it at a small size and in one color, and before registering, check it for similarity to existing marks.
FAQ
Which AI is best at creating logos?
For logos with text, especially in non-Latin scripts, GPT Image 2.5: in our test it wrote the Russian names “Зерно” and “Спица” without errors. For exact brand colors in hex, FLUX.2 works well; for icons and stickers, Nano Banana Pro.
Can I create a logo with AI for free?
Partly. AI2Face gives you welcome credits after signing up — enough for several logo variations. The cost of each generation is shown before you run it.
Can I register a logo created with AI as a trademark?
Before registering a trademark, check the logo for similarity to already registered marks and refine it with a designer if needed. Generation doesn't guarantee the mark isn't similar to someone else's.
How do I get a vector version of the logo?
The AI outputs a raster PNG or JPEG. For print and signage, redraw it or auto-trace it into vector (SVG) in a graphics editor.
