Trending prompts change every few months, but the best formats stick around for years and come back every holiday season. To skip the guessing, we went with Google's own data: in December 2025 the company published Nano Banana's 13 most popular trends, and earlier it explained where the viral figurines and sarees came from. Nearly every viral format of 2025 appeared after the launch of [Nano Banana](/models/nano-banana), Google's photo-editing model. According to a Google product manager, the figurine trend started in Thailand and the saree trend in India, then both spread worldwide. Every trend follows the same principle: your photo + a recognizable format + “don't change the face.”
