# AI sticker maker: a sticker pack from your photo, a mascot with captions and transparent PNGs for Telegram

> An AI sticker maker draws a whole sticker pack in one generation: 6–9 emotions of the same character with a white outline and captions. We made stickers from a selfie and a fox mascot pack in Nano Banana Pro, plus a sticker with a real transparent background in GPT Image 2.5. Below: prompts and how to turn the images into Telegram stickers.

An AI sticker maker does in one generation what takes an illustrator a day: a character in six to nine emotions with a white outline and captions. The two things that used to fail — the same character across every sticker and captions without mistakes — now work. We made the four types of stickers people search for most, with Russian and English captions. All images below come from the AI2Face generator; the person in the photo was generated for this test.

## AI sticker maker: the prompt formula

| Part | Example |
|---|---|
| Character | a red fox in a green scarf; the woman from the photo |
| Grid | a 3 × 3 or 3 × 2 sheet, “the same character in every sticker” |
| Emotions and poses — numbered | 1) waving; 2) bowing; 3) thumbs up |
| Captions — word for word | Hi!, Thanks!, OK |
| Styling | thick white die-cut outline, soft shadow, flat vector art |
| Background and restrictions | plain white background, no other text |

The white outline isn't decoration: on a dark messenger theme, a sticker without one blends into the background. A plain background makes it easy to cut each sticker out later.

## 1. Stickers from a photo

```
Create a sheet of 9 chibi stickers of the woman from the photo, in a neat 3 × 3
grid on a plain white background. Keep her recognizable: shoulder-length dark
wavy hair, light freckles, brown eyes, mustard knitted sweater. Each sticker has
a different emotion: laughing, in love with hearts, surprised, crying, angry with
steam, thumbs up, sleepy with a pillow, happily drinking coffee, waving hello.
Each sticker has a thick white outline and a soft shadow. No text.
```

This is the most popular request — stickers of yourself for chats with friends. [Nano Banana Pro](/models/nano-banana-pro) kept the hairstyle, freckles and sweater across all nine emotions. If you want a different style — anime or 3D instead of chibi — change one word in the prompt. More photo-based styles are in our guide on how to [turn a photo into anime](/blog/foto-v-stile-anime).

## 2. A mascot sticker pack with captions

```
A sheet of 6 stickers with the same cute cartoon red fox in a small green scarf,
in a 3 × 2 grid on a plain white background, the character identical in every
sticker. Each sticker has a short caption in bold rounded letters, without
quotation marks, each written exactly once: 1) waving — Hi!; 2) bowing with paws
together — Thanks!; 3) thumbs up — OK; 4) jumping with confetti — Yay!;
5) shrugging — Meh; 6) sleeping on a crescent moon — Good night. Thick white
outline, soft shadow, flat vector art, no other text.
```

Nano Banana Pro")

A mascot is the character of a brand, channel or community. Followers send stickers with it to each other, which is free advertising. To keep the character identical in future sheets, upload a finished sheet as a reference and write “the same fox, new emotions”. How to design a character from scratch is covered in our guide to [creating a character with AI](/blog/sozdat-personazha-nejroset).

## 3. A sticker with a transparent background

For Telegram, a sticker with a transparent background looks cleaner: you see the chat background under it instead of a white square. [GPT Image 2.5](/models/gpt-image) in AI2Face can return a PNG with a real alpha channel — choose the “Transparent” background in the model settings.

```
A single cute cartoon sticker: a red fox mascot in a small green scarf holding a
big mug of hot cocoa and smiling, a thick white outline around the whole
character, flat vector art with soft shading. Isolated object on a fully
transparent background, no shadow on the background, no text.
```

![A fox sticker with a mug of cocoa on a checkerboard: the area around the white outline is transparent](https://ai2face.com/_astro/transparent.CL9hmp7R_1oIMKz.jpg "A 2048 × 2048 PNG with an alpha channel, placed on a checkerboard to show the transparency. GPT Image 2.5, “Transparent” background")

The transparent background works for one sticker per generation, not for a whole sheet. A handy workflow: draw a sheet in Nano Banana Pro, pick the best emotions and redraw each one in [GPT Image 2.5](/models/gpt-image-2-5) with a transparent background, passing the sheet as a reference.

## 4. A sticker with a speech bubble

```
A single funny messenger sticker: a chubby grey cat in sunglasses giving a
confident thumbs up, next to it a white speech bubble with a bold comic-style
caption, without quotation marks and exactly once: I'm in! A thick white outline
around the cat and the bubble, flat vector art, plain white background, no
other text.
```

![Sticker: a chubby grey cat in sunglasses giving a thumbs up, the caption “I'm in!” in a speech bubble](https://ai2face.com/_astro/text-en.TzCA0bdR_Z1rdSvb.jpg "The caption in the bubble is correct and in a comic-style font. GPT Image 2.5")

A short line in a speech bubble is the format of the most popular chat stickers: “I'm in!”, “Meh”, “On fire”. Keep it to three words — on a phone screen, a sticker takes up a couple of centimeters. Similar short captions on greeting cards are covered in our [AI greeting card generator](/blog/otkrytki-nejroset) guide.

## How to turn images into Telegram stickers

Telegram's requirements (per the platform documentation):

| Type | Format | Size | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Static sticker | PNG or WEBP | one side exactly 512 pixels, the other 512 or less | — |
| Video sticker | WEBM, VP9 codec | one side exactly 512 pixels | up to 3 seconds, up to 30 fps, up to 256 KB, no audio |
| Emoji | PNG, WEBP or WEBM | exactly 100 × 100 pixels | the same limits for video |

Step by step:

1. **Generate a sheet or separate stickers** at 2K — the extra resolution helps when you cut them.
2. **Cut out each sticker.** If the background is plain, any editor removes it easily; if you generated in GPT Image 2.5 with a transparent background, skip this step.
3. **Resize to 512 pixels** on the long side and save as PNG. On a Mac it's one command: `sips -Z 512 sticker.png`.
4. **Upload through the @Stickers bot** in Telegram: create a new set, send the files one by one and assign an emoji to each.

For a video sticker, animate the image in a video model — as in our guide on how to [animate a photo](/blog/ozhivit-foto) — then trim the clip to 3 seconds, remove the audio and compress it to WEBM VP9 under 256 KB.

## Which AI makes better stickers

| | Nano Banana Pro | GPT Image 2.5 |
|---|---|---|
| A sticker sheet (6–9 stickers) | yes, the character is identical in all | not tested in this article |
| Stickers from a photo, likeness | high — keeps freckles, hairstyle, clothes | good — per our [photo to anime](/blog/foto-v-stile-anime) test |
| Captions | no mistakes | no mistakes |
| Transparent background | no — white background, cut it out yourself | yes, PNG with an alpha channel |
| Best for | photo-based sticker packs and whole mascot sheets | single stickers ready to upload |

Our pick: sticker sheets and photo-based stickers in Nano Banana Pro; final stickers for Telegram in GPT Image 2.5 with a transparent background.

## Where to make stickers with AI

Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2.5 are both in one AI2Face generator: draw a sheet in one model and immediately redraw the best stickers with a transparent background in the other. The cost of each generation is shown before you start, and credits from packs don't expire. You can make an avatar in the same style as your stickers with our [AI avatar](/blog/avatarka-nejroset) guide.

## Bottom line

An AI sticker maker produces a whole sticker pack in one generation: in our test, Nano Banana Pro drew 9 recognizable stickers from a selfie and 6 mascot stickers with flawless captions, and GPT Image 2.5 made a sticker with a real transparent background. Use Nano Banana Pro for sheets and photo-based stickers, and GPT Image 2.5 with the “Transparent” background for upload-ready PNGs. Before uploading to Telegram, resize each sticker to 512 pixels and send it through the @Stickers bot.

## FAQ

### How do I make stickers with AI?

Describe the character, the grid (3 × 3 or 3 × 2), the emotion of each sticker and the captions word for word, and add “thick white outline, white background”. Nano Banana Pro draws the whole sheet in one generation; then cut it into separate stickers at 512 pixels.

### Can I make stickers from my own photo?

Yes. Upload the photo as a reference and list what to keep: hairstyle, eye color, freckles, clothes. In our test, all 9 stickers made from a selfie stayed recognizable.

### What are Telegram's sticker requirements?

A static sticker is PNG or WEBP with one side exactly 512 pixels and the other 512 or less. A video sticker is WEBM with the VP9 codec, up to 3 seconds, up to 256 KB and no audio. You upload them through the @Stickers bot.

### Can AI make a sticker with a transparent background?

Yes. In AI2Face, GPT Image 2.5 has a “transparent background” mode: the model returns a PNG with an alpha channel, ready for Telegram once you resize it to 512 pixels.

### Can I make stickers with AI for free?

Yes. AI2Face gives you starter credits when you sign up, and a whole sheet of 6–9 stickers is a single generation — the cost is shown before you start.
