# Nano Banana pricing: Google AI plans, API cost per image and what you get

> There's no separate Nano Banana subscription: these are Google models, and Nano Banana pricing depends on how you access them, through Google AI plans (Plus at $4.99, Pro at $19.99 and Ultra from $99.99 a month in the US) or per image in the API from $0.0336. Nano Banana Pro in Gemini needs a plan. In AI2Face every Nano Banana model is available in one generator, with the cost shown before you generate.

Searching for “nano banana pricing” turns up a dozen price lists, and almost all of them are third-party sites with Nano Banana in the domain. Google has no product called “Nano Banana” with its own price: these are image models that run inside Gemini and the Gemini API. Here's what access really costs at Google, what each plan includes, how much one image costs and what to do if Gemini isn't available where you live.

## What a Nano Banana subscription is

Nano Banana is a family of image models from Google DeepMind: [Nano Banana 2](/models/nano-banana-2), [Nano Banana Pro](/models/nano-banana-pro), [Nano Banana 2 Lite](/models/nano-banana-2-lite) and the original [Nano Banana](/models/nano-banana). Officially there are two ways to pay for them:

- **a Google AI subscription** — for working in the Gemini app and other Google services;
- **per-image pricing in the Gemini API** — for developers and services that build the models in.

Everything else is sites that buy access through the API and resell it in their own credits.

## Nano Banana pricing: Google AI plans and what you get

Prices are for the US, from the Gemini subscriptions page as of October 2, 2026. Other countries have their own prices, shown at checkout.

| Plan | Price per month | Gemini limits | Nano Banana Pro | Image download |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No plan | $0 | basic | no | 1K |
| Google AI Plus | $4.99 | 2× higher | Redo with Pro | 2K |
| Google AI Pro | $19.99 | 4× higher | yes | 2K |
| Google AI Ultra | $99.99 or $199.99 | 5× or 20× higher than Pro | yes | 2K |

Without a plan, Gemini runs Nano Banana 2 with a limit Google doesn't disclose: it depends on how complex the request is and refreshes every 5 hours. A plan unlocks Nano Banana Pro, raises the limits and lets you download images in 2K instead of 1K. For more on the free mode, see the guide [Nano Banana free](/blog/nano-banana-besplatno).

Google's help adds one important detail: if the daily Nano Banana 2 quota runs out, you can't redo images with Pro either.

## How much does one image cost in the API?

In the Gemini API you pay for each image, and the price depends on the model and resolution. There's no free tier for image models.

| Resolution | Nano Banana 2 Lite | Nano Banana 2 | Nano Banana Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.5K | — | $0.045 | — |
| 1K | $0.0336 | $0.067 | $0.134 |
| 2K | — | $0.101 | $0.134 |
| 4K | — | $0.151 | $0.24 |

In batch mode, when you don't need the result right away, every price is half as much. For comparison, a Google AI Pro subscription at $19.99 a month equals about 300 Nano Banana 2 images in 1K through the API.

## Is 4K worth paying for?

A 4K image from Nano Banana 2 costs twice as much as 1K in the API. The difference shows up not on a phone screen but in print, cropping and large banners.

![A handmade mustard-yellow knitted mitten with a snowflake pattern on snow, shown whole and as a close-up crop: individual wool fibers and ice crystals are visible](https://ai2face.com/_astro/detail-4k.zvq-kbY2_ZJbSCt.jpg "Left: the full frame. Right: a 100% crop of the same 4K file, with individual fibers and frost visible. Nano Banana 2, 4K")

In 4K, Nano Banana 2 outputs a 3712 × 4608 pixel file for a 4:5 aspect ratio, so you can cut a crop out of it and print it on its own. If the image is only for social media and messengers, 1K or 2K is enough, and Lite works for drafts.

## Is it safe to buy a Google AI plan from a reseller?

Google sells its plans through its own channels. Marketplaces are full of offers like “Google AI Pro cheap”. These are intermediaries: they set up the subscription on a foreign account or with someone else's payment details, Google isn't responsible for such purchases, and a plan doesn't change where Gemini is available. The official Gemini app and the API work only in the countries Google lists.

## Sites with Nano Banana in the domain

The price lists on nanobanana, nano-banana, nanobananapro and similar sites come from third-party services, not from Google. They sell credits that are spent on images and set the price themselves. Before you buy, check:

- **which model is behind the button**: Nano Banana 2, Pro or the original. At Google the price differs by 2–4×;
- **what resolution you get**: 1K and 4K cost different amounts;
- **whether credits expire** at the end of the month;
- **how you can pay**: by card, locally or only with a foreign card.

## How much does Nano Banana cost in AI2Face?

In AI2Face, all the models in the family (Nano Banana 2, Pro, Lite and the original Nano Banana) are available in one generator. Next to them are [GPT Image](/models/gpt-image) and [Seedream](/models/seedream), so you can compare them on the same prompt.

- **The cost of every generation is shown before you start.** It depends on the model and resolution, just like at Google.
- **A subscription or a credit pack.** Credits from packs don't expire and carry over to the next month.
- **Pay by card, crypto or another convenient method.**
- **Welcome credits after sign-up**: enough to compare Nano Banana 2 and Pro on your own tasks.

For help choosing a model, see the comparison [Nano Banana 2 or Pro](/blog/nano-banana-2-vs-pro).

## Bottom line

There's no “Nano Banana” subscription: you pay for Google AI plans or for images in the API. The cheapest Google AI plan is Plus at $4.99 a month in the US, and it's where redoing images with Nano Banana Pro starts. In the API an image costs from $0.0336 for Lite to $0.24 for 4K on Pro. Where Gemini isn't available, both official routes are closed, and gray-market subscriptions are a risk. If you need Nano Banana for real work, the simplest start is AI2Face welcome credits: every model in the family in one window, credits that don't expire, and the cost shown before each generation.
