# AI product images for ecommerce: turn one photo into a hero shot, an infographic and a lifestyle scene

> AI product images for ecommerce can all come from a single photo: a hero shot on a clean background, a listing image with a headline and benefits, and a lifestyle scene. We tested it on a table lamp: GPT Image 2.5 built a listing image with error-free text, and Nano Banana 2 placed the same lamp in a bedroom. The key prompt rule is “don't change the product.”

A product listing sells through images: the hero shot, the benefits, the product in real life. That used to mean a photo studio and a designer; now it's one product photo and three prompts. We tested on an ordinary table lamp how AI builds a set of listing slides, and we show where it saves money and where it needs supervision.

## Test: one lamp photo, three listing slides

The source is a studio photo of a white ceramic lamp on a beige background. From it we made two slides: a listing image with a headline and benefits, and a lifestyle scene.

![Three images of the same lamp: a studio photo on a beige background, a listing image titled “Настольная лампа «Лён»” with three benefits, and the lamp on a bedside table in a bedroom](https://ai2face.com/_astro/lamp-set.BzHxoFsZ_Z1IYY1G.jpg "Source (Nano Banana 2), listing image with text (GPT Image 2.5) and interior (Nano Banana 2) — the product is identical in all three")

**Listing image with text.** [GPT Image 2.5](/models/gpt-image) kept the lamp and added the headline “Настольная лампа «Лён»” (“Linen” table lamp) plus three benefits with icons: hand-made ceramics, a linen shade and a 45 cm height. We wrote the text in Russian to test non-Latin script — every label came out without a single error.

**Interior.** [Nano Banana 2](/models/nano-banana-2) from the [Nano Banana](/models/nano-banana) family placed the same lamp on a bedside table in a Scandinavian bedroom and switched it on — the shade glows with warm light. The shape, color and shade match the source.

## Prompts for product images

A listing image with a headline and benefits (the quoted text is in Russian, exactly as in our test):

```
Turn this product photo into a marketplace listing image. Keep the lamp exactly
as in the photo. Clean light beige background. At the top, a large headline
"Настольная лампа «Лён»". On the right, three short benefits with thin icons:
"Керамика ручной работы", "Абажур из льна", "Высота 45 см". Modern clean
layout, dark brown text, all Russian text exactly as given, no other text,
no logos
```

The product in an interior:

```
Place this lamp on a wooden bedside table in a cozy Scandinavian bedroom in the
evening, the lamp is on and glowing warmly, linen bedding and a book nearby.
Keep the lamp's shape, color and shade exactly, photorealistic interior photo,
no text
```

## AI product images for ecommerce: which slides to make

| Slide | Model | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Hero shot on a clean background | Nano Banana 2 or FLUX.2 | you can set the background color with a hex code in [FLUX](/models/flux) |
| Headline and benefits | GPT Image 2.5 | short text, in quotes, “no other text” |
| Product in an interior | Nano Banana 2 or Pro | “keep the product exactly” |
| Product on a model | [Nano Banana Pro](/models/nano-banana-pro) | up to 5 people from photos; details in the [AI photoshoot](/blog/ii-fotosessiya) guide |
| Dimensions and package contents | GPT Image 2.5 | check the numbers against the real product |
| A series in one style | [Seedream](/models/seedream) | keeps a consistent style across a series |

## How to make product listing images with AI: 4 steps

1. **Photograph the product** on your phone in daylight — whole and sharp; the background doesn't matter.
2. **Make the hero shot** on white: “cut out the product, place it on a clean white background, remove everything else.”
3. **Add text slides** in GPT Image 2.5 — benefits, dimensions, what's in the box.
4. **Show the product in use** — a lifestyle scene or a person with the product in Nano Banana 2 and Pro.

You don't need a dedicated listing generator for this: each step is one prompt in a general model. Ready-made prompts for every slide are in the guide to [AI product photography prompts](/blog/promty-dlya-kartochek-tovara).

## AI backgrounds for product photos: white and styled

The background is the most common edit in a listing. A white-background product photo is what the hero slide needs: ask the model to “cut out the product,” not to “make a studio photo” — with a softer wording it may keep the old surroundings. For seasonal and themed backgrounds, change only the setting line in the prompt: “fir branches and fairy lights,” “a summer picnic,” “a black background with neon.” A background in your exact brand color is set with a hex code in FLUX.2, and Seedream handles neat seasonal scenes around the product well.

## Rules so the listing sells instead of misleading

1. **The product comes only from a real photo.** Don't generate the product from scratch: the buyer will get something different from what they saw.
2. **“Keep the product exactly as in the photo”** — in every prompt. Check the shape, color, logos and details.
3. **Keep text short.** Three or four benefits of 2–4 words each are readable on a phone; a paragraph isn't.
4. **Numbers from the facts.** The AI doesn't know the size, weight or materials — write them yourself and check them in the image.
5. **Marketplace rules.** Every marketplace has its own image requirements — check its help pages.

## Limitations

- **Small product details** — engraving, a logo, texture — may be simplified or changed by the model.
- **Text on the product's packaging** is sometimes redrawn with errors — check it.
- **Reflections and transparent materials** — glass, chrome — are harder than matte objects.
- **A series of many slides** needs the same style prompt, otherwise the images will look different.

## Where to make product images

In AI2Face, GPT Image, Nano Banana, FLUX and Seedream all work in one generator — each model for its own slide. The cost of each generation is shown before you run it, you can pay by card or crypto, and credits from packs don't expire. You get welcome credits after signing up. You can make a logo for your shop there too — see our guide on [creating a logo with AI](/blog/logotip-nejroset).

## Bottom line

AI product images replace a photo studio and a designer at the start: from one lamp photo we got a listing image with text and a lifestyle scene, and the product stayed the same. The combination is simple — GPT Image 2.5 for text and infographics, Nano Banana for interiors and models. The key is to always shoot the real product, forbid the model from changing it, and check the numbers and details before publishing.

## FAQ

### Which AI is best for product listing images?

For listing images with text and infographics, GPT Image 2.5; for product shots in an interior or on a model, Nano Banana 2 or Pro; for exact brand colors, FLUX.2. It's convenient to use them together, each for its own slide.

### Will the AI change my product?

It can, unless you forbid it. Write in the prompt: “keep the product exactly as in the photo: shape, color, details.” Check every image: marketplaces and shoppers won't forgive a mismatch with the real product.

### Can I make product images with AI for free?

Partly. AI2Face gives you welcome credits after signing up — enough for several images. The cost of each generation is shown before you run it.

### Are these images suitable for marketplaces?

In terms of design, yes, but each marketplace has its own rules for image size, background and text on images. Check the marketplace's help pages before uploading.
